Police officers in a pumpkin-themed patrol car will be driving around Surrey over the next two weeks to ensure people enjoy a trouble-free Halloween and Bonfire Night .
Surrey Police said the run-up to the two annual events was usually one of the busiest times of the year, leading to a rise in cases of anti-social behaviour.
Officers in a bright orange Halloween patrol car will visit various events urging youngsters to stay safe.
They will also ask them not to target people who do not want to be involved in the celebrations, and hand out glow-in-the-dark wristbands with the message “Don’t Scare. Take Care”.
Superintendent Sharon Bush said the move followed successful campaigns over the last few years.
