Spook Guide - Frankenstein
The evil Dr. Frankenstein created Frankenstein’s monster. Referred
to as ‘the fiend,’ ‘the creature,’ or ‘the
wretch,’ Frankenstein’s monster was larger than a normal
man, and much stronger.
Dr Frankenstein used his background in chemistry and alchemy to bring
a foul creation to life. When the monster first came to life, Frankenstein
fled from his creation.
Frankenstein’s
monster was not stupid. He was over eight feet in height, with yellowish
skin and eyes and flowing black hair. The monster is often described
as being hideous to the sight, with a flat head, electrodes in his
neck and a huge scar across his forehead.
Although
Frankenstein’s monster is often portrayed as a murderer and
a fiend, many people believe he was actually an emotional and gentle
creature. According to these people, Frankenstein’s monster
was only taught to be evil through his interaction with humans. Therefore,
mankind turned Frankenstein’s creation into a monster, through
judging him by the way he looked.
