Some people believe that demons may be conjured and represent elements. For instance, earth demons are enormous entities made from crumbling clods of earth. A fire demon, conversely, would be made entirely from flames. The person who conjures the demon is supposed to be able to control it, but this is not always the case.

Demons are in some ways regarded as the most malevolent and evil of all the spooks, and the most likely to be focused on evil. Some people believe that demons come from hell, or from the fiery core at the centre of the earth.
